Denne gang taler vi helt overordnet om forretningsmodeller og hvordan de spiller ind på udvikleres arbejde. I “gamle dage”, hvor Allan var ung, var mange spiludviklere i virkeligheden business to business foretagender, mens internettet har åbnet for en større grad af business to consumer. Samme teknologiske landvinding har gjort det muligt at arbejde med mange forskellige forretningsmodeller, typisk under en af de to overordnede paraplyer premium eller freemium. IDSU har tidligere udgivet en bog om forretningsmodeller i spilbranchen, der stadig er relevant. Den hedder The Business of Making Games
