Sophie Birch mødte BMI første gang som helt ung pige via en udregner på et damebladssite, med vægttabsprogrammer lige nedenunder. Flere år senere blev det samme tal startskuddet til et uhensigtsmæssigt vægttab. I denne uge tager hun fat på et af sine mest anstrengte forhold – både personligt og fagligt. Hvad BMI faktisk blev udviklet til, hvad det ikke kan se, og hvorfor det største problem måske slet ikke er formlen, men alt det, vi har gjort tallet til.
