To achieve this, we work at the crossroads of theoretical physics, molecular and cell biology, medicine, nanoscience, and plant science, creating a shared quantitative framework that enables truly interdisciplinary collaboration. We investigate how cells use physics to organize their cell surface proteins through phase separation and geometry and how cells sense mechanical signal from their environment.
