Lynda's mother was very young when she became pregnant with Lynda, and the first years of Lynda’s life were marked by instability and turmoil. But things took a devastating turn when her mother entered a relationship with a man who began sexually abusing Lynda. The abuse continued for years, and her stepfather threatened to kill her mother and brothers if she ever told anyone what was happening. The abuse escalated over time as her stepfather involved neighbors and other family members. No one protected Lynda, and she sank deeper into despair. Eventually, she no longer wanted to live. When Lynda was 16 years old, something unexpected happened. Her mother decided to take Lynda and her siblings to church. There, Lynda volunteered to serve at a children’s camp in order to get away from home. During that camp, she had a life-changing encounter with Jesus Christ that completely transformed her life. Through that single encounter, she found the strength to forgive her stepfather. Yet the effects of the trauma followed her into adulthood and deeply impacted her sense of identity. The wounds did not simply disappear with time. As an adult, Lynda continued to struggle with hopelessness and suicidal thoughts. But once again, Jesus intervened. A powerful experience of spiritual deliverance and physical healing set her free and changed the course of her life forever. Today, Lynda holds a Master’s degree in Pastoral Psychology and serves as a counselor, helping people heal from deep inner wounds and experience the freedom that Jesus paid for through His sacrifice.Lynda and her husband Bill have a missions ministry called “Legacy of Worship” that specializes in equipping God´s leaders for maximum impact globally. They are fully devoted to expanding the Kingdom of God through closely-knit relationships within the local church. Lynda recently released her book, Scars Still Speak, which shares her remarkable life journey. It is a powerful and honest story that reminds us that God is present even in our darkest moments. He meets us where we are and begins the work of healing and restoration. You don’t need to be whole to be loved by God—but He loves you too much to leave you there.Lynda's testimony is really a firsthand account of darkness survival, and the healing power of Jesus Christ.
