The Danish government, in collaboration with EIFO and Novo Holdings, has launched the fund, which with an initial capital commitment of DKK 1 billion, aims to make Denmark one of the world’s leading quantum ecosystems. 55 North is targeting a total capital commitment of more than DKK 2 billion, to be invested in innovative quantum companies with significant growth potential. We meet the team behind 55 North for a conversation about the fund’s journey from idea to establishment. We explore why the fund is based in Denmark, and why it’s important to invest in quantum technology right now.
